Cost and commitment
How much does it actually cost?
It depends on your market, how many locations and services you need covered, and what shape your site is in. Rather than publish a number that would be wrong for most people reading it, we audit your site free and send a fixed monthly quote within 3 business days. There is no obligation to take it, and no sales call required to get it.
Why do you not list prices on the site?
Because a published price is either too high for the simple jobs or too low for the hard ones, and both waste your time. Quoting after the audit means the number reflects your actual competition and starting point. You get it in writing, fixed monthly, before any commitment.
What is included in the monthly fee?
Everything listed in your engagement, done for you rather than handed to you: the audit, the technical fixes made on the site, researched content, local optimization, link earning where included, conversion review, and reporting. No setup fees and no surprise add-ons. If something falls outside the scope, we tell you the cost before we do it.
Can I change engagements later?
Yes, up or down, at any time. A common path is to start on Focused while the technical groundwork is done, then widen to Expansion once there is a base worth building on. Changes take effect the following month.
Is there a setup or cancellation fee?
No setup fee and no cancellation fee. Plans are month-to-month. You give 30 days notice and we hand over everything we have built.
You are not the cheapest option. Why?
Because the work described on the pricing page takes real hours from senior people, and we do not stretch those hours across a long client list. Cheaper SEO is usually cheaper for one of three reasons: it is a junior doing it, it is a template, or it is a list of recommendations you are expected to implement yourself. All three can be the right call for some businesses. If one of them is right for you, we will say so.
Do you offer one-off audits or projects?
The free audit is genuinely free. Beyond that, SEO works best as ongoing work rather than a one-time project, so our plans are monthly. If you need a single technical audit deliverable, contact us and we will scope it.
Working with us
How long until I see results from SEO?
Most small businesses see early movement in 3 to 4 months and meaningful traffic gains by month 6 to 9. Local SEO can move faster, sometimes in weeks, because the map pack rewards a well-built profile. We set month-by-month expectations at the start so you know what good progress looks like.
Do you guarantee first-page rankings?
No, and you should walk away from anyone who does. Nobody controls Google's algorithm. What we guarantee is the work: the audits, the fixes, the content, and full transparency into what we did and why. We report on the leading indicators that predict rankings, not just vanity positions.
Are there long contracts?
No. Every plan is month-to-month. SEO takes time, so we ask for a fair shot, usually three months, to show progress. But you are never locked in. We would rather earn your renewal every month than rely on a contract.
Who actually does the work?
The person you talk to. We are a small agency on purpose. You are not handed off to a junior team after the sale, and your account is not one of two hundred. That is the whole point of working with a boutique.
What size businesses do you work with?
US service businesses: local trades, professional practices and multi-location operators. Usually somewhere between one location and a dozen. The common thread is that customers search before they call, and that the work is worth doing properly rather than cheaply.
How is this different from a big agency?
Big agencies win on headcount and lose on attention. You get a template strategy and a rotating cast of account managers. With us the founder does or directs the work, decisions happen in one conversation, and your site is a priority rather than a line item.
What do you need from me to start?
Access to your website, Google Business Profile, and analytics, plus 30 minutes to tell us about your business and best customers. We handle the rest and tell you clearly when we need something from you.
Can you help if I have been penalized or lost traffic?
Yes. Traffic drops usually come from a Google update, a technical problem, or lost content. We diagnose which one it is with a full audit, then give you a recovery plan. Recovery timelines vary, and we will be honest about what is realistic for your situation.
Do you write the content or do I?
We do, unless you want to. Our SEO content service includes research, briefs, writing, and on-page optimization. If you have a subject-matter expert on your team, we can also brief and edit their drafts so they rank.
What tools and reporting do I get?
A live dashboard for rankings, traffic, and conversions, plus a monthly summary written in plain language, not screenshots you have to decode. You always know what we did, what it changed, and what is next.
What happens on the free audit?
A real person reviews your site for technical issues, content gaps, local presence, and competitor positioning, then sends a prioritized list of fixes within three business days. No automated PDF, no sales pressure. Many people take the list and act on it themselves, and that is fine.
Do you work with businesses outside the US?
Our focus is US service businesses, because that is where our knowledge of local search and the market is strongest. If you are elsewhere and the fit looks right, get in touch and we will be straight with you about whether we can actually help.
